Department of Information Technology and Information Security

The main tasks of the department are the following:
  • formation of a strategy for the development of the Company's information technology;
  • the introduction of new information technology systems that meet modern requirements and activities of the Company;
  • formation and improvement of the Company's unified information security policy;
  • ensuring information security of the Company's activities in general;
  • control over the activities of the Company's structural divisions in the field of information security.
The functions of the department include the following:

  1.  To fulfill the tasks on the development of information technology, the Department implements:
    • develops and implements the concept of informatization of the structural units of the Company in the framework of a unified system of company management;
    • participates in the formation of orders of the Company, the development of draft contracts for the purchase of software, hardware and consumables, acts as a representative of the Company under contracts for the execution of works related to information technology, controls their execution;
    • organization and maintenance of information, automated and information systems and networks, and peripheral equipment;
    • develops proposals on priority areas for the development of technologies in the field of informatization, policy and guidance documents on management automation and the use of automation equipment;
    • study and analysis of best practices in the implementation of modern information technologies for the effective provision of the Company's services;
    • implementation of new IT projects to create new services in the insurance industry.
  2. To increase the level of information security, the Department carries out:
    • development and improvement of the Company's information security policy;
    • participation in the development and implementation of targeted programs for the introduction of modern information technologies in order to increase the level of information security;
    • compilation, study and analysis of best practices in the implementation of modern information technologies and technical means in the field of information security;
    • coordination, within its powers, of the process of creating and using information, automated and information-computing systems and networks, databases and data banks in the Company's structural divisions, creating and improving the organizational and methodological system for ensuring control and the level of information security of these works;
    • training of the Company's employees in methods of enhancing information security, providing instructions and monitoring knowledge and practical skills in implementing information security policies by the Company's employees;
    • carrying out a set of organizational and technical measures to prevent damage to the interests of the Company, as well as information resources of the Company as a result of disclosure, loss, distortion, falsification or destruction of information;
    • organizing and ensuring the protection of information transmitted via communication channels, including information constituting corporate secrets;
    • securing the exchange of electronic documents;
    • control over the state of the internal corporate information security policy;
    • internal expertise and control over the Company's structural divisions in the field of information security.
